I sold a short story to ON SPEC magazine
To be fair, being Canadian and them needing to have 80% Canadian content certainly improved my odds. (Having read their submission guidelines again... no, they claim it only improves my chances of getting in the magazine sooner once the piece is accepted.)
To be honest, I keep waiting for someone to tell me I'm being punk'd.
And...uh...yeah... Still gotta do the paperwork and send the file, etc. As soon as I know what issue it will be appearing, I'll tell you.

HUGE CONGRATTS!
Also....now when you submit elsewhere, you can put that credit on your query and other editors are more likely to look at your work before they will consider a writer who doesn't have credits.
So honestly I dunno for certian....but I think it gets easier!
